Bonnie’s Story
Hi! My name is Bonnie and I am a 42-year-old married mother of two boys, 10 and 12. This is a brief testimonial of my weight loss issues and my introduction to the Keenfit Walking Poles.
I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life. I was a chubby kid who grew into a chubby adult. I was never obese, but never an ideal weight either. My 40th birthday was looming and was a pivotal milestone to motivate me to action. But the thought of losing 70 pounds was simply overwhelming. I consulted my doctor, and at 210lbs, was clinically obese and was prescribed a fat blocker called, Xenical. This was no magic pill, but did help me along in my very long journey. I still had to do my part. I stopped eating after supper, was reasonable about portions, and added walking three days a week. Walking was, and still is, the only form of aerobic exercise I do. Over the next 2 years I lost a total of 60 pounds, then I hit a plateau and couldn’t lose the last 10 pounds. I was introduced to the Keenfit Walking System and thought I had nothing to lose, except for those last 10 pounds. What normally would have taken me several months, I did in about 6 weeks! I had the support and encouragement from my Walking Club and met my goal weight of 140lbs. I will now rely on the Keenfit poles to maintain my weight, I only wish I’d discovered them sooner!

In October 2005, I purchased a pair of Keenfit Walking Poles At the time, I was suffering from tennis elbow. Since using y poles my tennis elbow no longer bothers me. I also have dropped 2 sizes, which of course is just awesome. My poles are the best!! They are the best money I have ever spent on myself I’m definitely a true Keener!! Thanks so much.
Jan’s Story
I purchased poles for myself in November 2005, then for my daughters and grand-daughter in December 2005 and have since recommended several ladies to your Walking Clinics.
I was the woman who had a sobering medical checkup in which I discovered that I had metabolic syndrome – a combination of high blood pressure, high blood sugars (pre-diabetic) and clinical obesity (250lbs). Since taking up pole walking, my blood pressure and blood sugars have improved dramatically, my stamina has increased and y overall well-being greatly improved. I have dropped 2 dress sizes and 25 pounds – it seems the inches are coming off more quickly than the pounds! Thanks so much for your encouragement.
Teresa’s Story
I am an avid walker and hiker and I have become an avid fan of walking and hiking with poles. The poles enhance my ability to climb steep inclines and increase my stability on rough terrain. They have increased my speed and helped to provide the upper body workout I was missing. In addition I am convinced that using poles had added another dimension to my cardio workout. I wouldn’t think of walking or hiking without them. Thanks!
